MANTA X

We are pleased to announce that the MANTA X project led by Marine Tech and its partners Hologarde , SHIP AS A SERVICE and i2S • Innovative Imaging Solutions has been selected in the CORIMER 2023 call for projects of the France2030 program .

The project aims to develop a mapping and monitoring solution for coastal areas extending to the deep seabed using the MANTA UHV underwater drone, operated with algorithms incorporating autonomous decision-making capabilities. Next-generation cameras and an underwater docking station enabling rapid data transfer and recharging will significantly increase mission autonomy. The system will be complemented by a deep-sea ROV to also provide an intervention capability, essential for complex operations.

It is an ambitious program, but one that already benefits from a set of existing technological building blocks and will be endowed with a budget of more than 5 million euros for 36 months of development.

During his recent visit to Toulon , the Minister of the Armed Forces, Mr. Sébastien Lecornu , welcomed the continued development of the MANTA project through France 2030 because, as he emphasized, it is a project stemming from a Rapid-/ DGA – Directorate General of Armaments and Defense Innovation Agency program .
